Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These terms govern the Pilotier install and retainer service. The short version: you own everything that gets built, the retainer is month-to-month, and nothing sends without your approval.

1. Service description

Pilotier provides two things: a one-time setup of a dedicated AI operating system for your business (the "Install"), and an ongoing monthly automation service (the "Retainer") covering new automations, tuning, and support. Installed systems operate on a draft-first model: the system writes, you approve, you send. Nothing is sent on your behalf without your approval.

2. Ownership

You own the installed system: the accounts and API keys it connects through, and the automations and configurations built for you. The system runs as a dedicated instance and is portable — on request it moves onto hardware you own. Pilotier retains ownership of its general methods, templates, and know-how, which may be reused across clients. Nothing built for you is repossessed or disabled if the engagement ends.

3. Account access

During the install and the retainer, you grant access to the accounts and tools the system connects to (for example email and calendar), used exclusively to build and maintain your system. Connections run through your own accounts and keys, and you may revoke access at any time from your side.

4. Payment terms

The Install is a one-time fee, invoiced around install day. The Retainer is billed monthly, due at the start of each billing period, by invoice. Prices are in USD. Founding-client rates remain locked while the retainer stays active. Pricing changes for standard rates take effect with 30 days' notice and never apply retroactively to locked founding rates.

5. Cancellation

The Retainer is month-to-month. Cancel anytime with notice before your next billing period — no cancellation fees. After cancellation, the installed system remains yours and continues to operate; you stop receiving new automations, tuning, and support. Ongoing third-party costs (such as API usage on your keys) are yours, as they always were.

6. Your responsibilities

You agree to use the system only for lawful purposes — no spam, phishing, or deceptive outreach. Because every outbound message requires your approval, what you approve and send is your responsibility.

7. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is." AI-generated drafts can contain errors — that's why the system never sends without your review. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pilotier's liability for any claim arising from these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to terms

If these terms materially change, active clients get an email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the retainer after that date constitutes acceptance.
